 “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17b-19
     As I would sit with my Dad when he was hospitalized, the Lord would use music to comfort and encourage me during those long, lonely nights.  One of the many songs He used was “Healing is in Your Hands” by Christy Nockles.  Songs would come on Pandora and I would feel the presence of Jesus so strongly it was almost as if I could touch Him.  His peace filling the room and His love surrounding us. The Lord used the words and melody of the music to speak to my soul.  It was a precious time.
      Without a relationship with Jesus, I could not have experienced that kind of remarkable peace.  To know Him as Lord and Savior gives me hope.  Hope of eternity with Him.  Peace in knowing that my Daddy knew Him too and has now seen Him face to face.
When we know Jesus we are rooted and established in love as Ephesians 3:17-19 mentions.  The Apostle Paul’s prayer for the Ephesian Christians is my prayer for you today.
      “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Eph 3:17b-19.
     You are deeply and completely loved by God.  His love ‘surpasses knowledge’.  His love is not unknowable but is so great that it cannot be completely known. (NIV note)
The Lord is infinite in all His attributes.  He allows us to draw on His resources—His love, His mercy, His grace and forgiveness.  Then we can love others, show mercy, give grace, and forgive in ways we never thought possible.
     During these difficult times and always, let Him fill you up—then give it away.
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
